Joe Galen is the solo project of Joe Lindley. Joe's brand of krooky electro-folk is at once timeless and of the moment. His songs are personal narratives, built on layers of acoustic guitars, pianos and processed samples, drifting from effortless delicate melody to arresting mashed up car crash percussion and smatterings of electronic spangles.

 

An interactive artist based in Manchester, Joe Galen plays all his own instruments and records and produces himself. He is influenced by singer songwriter old timers like Bob Dylan and Nike Drake as well as contemporary champions of electronic music like Caribou and Four Tet.

The result is a sound which is distinctive and yet familiar. Joe Galen's artworks include 100 portraits, photo bombing, memory bugs, web-art, videos and more. His first full-length For Triangles is schedule for May 2010.
