An anecdote related to the mix
I've been pondering the idea of subtlety as a “heavy” element. Heaviness can be related to density or impact, but I like the idea of reaching it through detail instead. Whether it's in the sound design of more “leftfield” tracks or in rhythmic syncopation, which often carries a geographical clue, I like trying to bridge these specific elements. I think that, when aimed at the dancefloor, they can result in an intersection between apparently distant (but compatible) rhythms; one that I enjoy very much. So, lots of syncopation, sound design candies, fast-ish, and some bass-oriented moments here and there.
