An anecdote related to the mix

It took me 6 months to finally contribute a mix to creaked. in the meantime i was in south korea for short pre-vacation before my residency in Saigon, Vietnam - where most of my newest influences came from. I lived above a cafe/bar living in district 1, where next to tourists and everyday workers from pretty much all classes stepped in and sipped their morning or midday coffe, beer or smoothy – suprisingly loads of kids from various subcultures spent their time playing games or taking photo shoots in there. Throughout that month, i spent listening too the bar's music ranging from v-, k- and mando-/canto-pop to v-rap, club mix from vietnamese (online) radios and sometimes even live concerts from more traditional vietnamese folk. When i got invited for the mix, i already gradually moved away from experimental ambient, and was increasingly interested in weird snippets of sounds, senseless noises of everyday life and deformed or broken music files. I think my mix here is somewhat seeking for that busy dopamine loaded life from my residency time - that still had it's sublime state of peace maintained. I don't know if that makes any sense to you - but i think the pendulum between rough, emotionally epic tracks and trance like ambient sounds very much is how i felt, and still carry within me.
