Prone: Remixed

Following the release of his highly anticipated debut album Prone, Swiss producer Nic As Well returns with Prone: Remixed, a 4-track EP that reimagines key moments from the original record. Featuring reinterpretations by DJ Polo, Chewlie, Sylvere and Jana Rush, the EP brings together four boundary-pushing voices from across the contemporary electronic scene, each contributing their own rhythmic language and creative vision to Nic As Well’s sonic universe.

Bristol’s DJ Polo opens the EP with a percussive and forward-driving take on “Prone,” infusing it with the pulse of UK Funky and the fluid groove of amapiano. Known for his dynamic sets and genre-bending productions, he brings brightness and bounce while maintaining the introspective tone of the original. Swiss artist Chewlie follows with a fractured, bass-heavy rework of “Every Time It Rains,” weaving dubstep and breakbeat textures into a remix that feels both cerebral and emotionally resonant. Parisian producer Sylvere transforms “Tickler” into a full-bodied club weapon, fusing techno pressure with dancehall energy and the deep bass of Caribbean soundsystem culture. His remix is fast-paced and sharply detailed, perfectly reflecting his cross-continental style. Finally, Chicago footwork pioneer Jana Rush delivers a hyper-rhythmic deconstruction of “Belt Up,” blending experimental chaos with syncopated footwork precision. Her remix is dense, abstract and hypnotic, pushing the original into bold, unexpected territory.
